I love little heart charms and door knob decorations and I’ve been trying to think of a simple handmade project I could do and share with you.
A few weeks ago I blogged about Handmade Valentine Gifts and came across Michele’s Sunkissed Heart Wreath.
Michele’s tutorial inspired me to come up with my own string hearts, Michele uses balloons to create a hollow heart wreath but I’ve created solid heart decorations using built up cardboard, I built the cardboard up to create a 3D effect and I’ve include a tutorial on how to create your very own.
I’ve made 2 heart decorations, a smaller one as a key ring charm and a larger heart as a door knob decoration.
Let me know what you think……
Well here is my very own handmade valentine gift….An Origami Fortune Cookie in a Mini Take Out Box!! I’m using mine as a valentine gift with a personal message but I think it could be used and decorated for all sorts of occasions such as weddings, birthdays, new year or it can even be used as a mini jewellery gift box. I found a template for the take out box at Mirkwood Designs, you will find lots of box templates that you can use for all your handmade crafting needs on there. I was going to create a tutorial to make an origami fortune cookie but I’ve found two great examples that helped me: 1. HP Fortune Cookie Tutorial 2.Origami Fortune Cookies from The Pretty Blog, both come with free templates you can use!!

Its been a while since I published my last post! I’ve been busy making and creating which i will update you on very soon. But in the mean time I though I’d share with you these easy peasy Bird clips I made way before Christmas. I used mine to hang my Christmas Cards up with. I Tied garden string around the banister and attached my Christmas Cards using these. Since then I’ve been using them to organise my scrap fabrics and papers together and I’m sure you can find a million other uses for them so they don’t need to go into the loft with all the other Christmas decorations. They are really simple, so simple in fact you probably don’t need a tutorial to show you how to make them………but I made one anyway! Hope you like it…..
I’ve been wanting to make one of these for some time I’d just not got round to it. I’ve used mine as a keyring for one of my cupboards but it could be used as a Christmas decoration, hung on a door handle or draw knob. I know I say this every time but its really simple to make, I’m a complete novice but this is how did it…
Here’s another How to…. How to make a gift bag. I found the first one a little fiddly but after I’d made a couple it was really easy. If you’re planning on making a few its worth creating a template so you don’t have to keep measuring.
So here goes…
