One of my oldest friends got married yesterday and it was really nice to see her on her wedding day.
It was also the perfect opportunity to experiment with my dye cutting machine and I created a handmade “Just Married” bunting along with a handmade cut out design card.
I’ve include the “Just Married” vector image template for anyone to use, all you need to do is convert the file to SVG which can easily be done online. I placed the love heart bunting at the beginning, middle and end of the design in a contrasting colour and used some silver ribbon to finish. Easy Peasy!!
I love little heart charms and door knob decorations and I’ve been trying to think of a simple handmade project I could do and share with you.
A few weeks ago I blogged about Handmade Valentine Gifts and came across Michele’s Sunkissed Heart Wreath.
Michele’s tutorial inspired me to come up with my own string hearts, Michele uses balloons to create a hollow heart wreath but I’ve created solid heart decorations using built up cardboard, I built the cardboard up to create a 3D effect and I’ve include a tutorial on how to create your very own.
I’ve made 2 heart decorations, a smaller one as a key ring charm and a larger heart as a door knob decoration.
Let me know what you think……
Valentine’s day is fast approaching so I’ve been searching for some handmade gifts and ideas which I can make over the weekend! I’ve pinned some ideas to my pinterest board but here are my favourite diy valentine gifts so far…

2. Valentine love heart candle lanterns.
3.Tiny love heart garland.
4. Doilie love heart sweets.
5. Arrow cupcakes.
6. Love heart paper clips.
7. Small love hearts framed.
8. Heart wreath.
9. Love heart bookmarks.
10. Button love heart framed.
I’ve been wanting to make one of these for some time I’d just not got round to it. I’ve used mine as a keyring for one of my cupboards but it could be used as a Christmas decoration, hung on a door handle or draw knob. I know I say this every time but its really simple to make, I’m a complete novice but this is how did it…
Here’s another How to…. How to make a gift bag. I found the first one a little fiddly but after I’d made a couple it was really easy. If you’re planning on making a few its worth creating a template so you don’t have to keep measuring.
So here goes…
Here something else I’ve been making, DIY Gift Bows. Again they are really simple to make and I think they look so much better than the plastic ones that you can buy. So here goes…
I’ve been making a few things over the festive season and I thought id share them with you . The first thing I made was this cute origami gift box. These small gift boxes are great for jewellery and they are so simple to make. I’ve included a tutorial incase you want to try it yourself.
Tip: I would make the base of the box with thicker paper or card for more support.
