I was searching on Twitter yesterday and came across a cute free crochet design for a Peter Pan collar. This also lead me to a great website called The Making Spot which contains lots of fantastic craft designers, ideas, free crochet patterns and lots more.
I thought I’d share with you a couple of free crochet jewellery designs that I came across today, I’m definitely going to start by making this cute peter Pan collar designed by Carol Meldrum.

Well here is my very own handmade valentine gift….An Origami Fortune Cookie in a Mini Take Out Box!! I’m using mine as a valentine gift with a personal message but I think it could be used and decorated for all sorts of occasions such as weddings, birthdays, new year or it can even be used as a mini jewellery gift box. I found a template for the take out box at Mirkwood Designs, you will find lots of box templates that you can use for all your handmade crafting needs on there. I was going to create a tutorial to make an origami fortune cookie but I’ve found two great examples that helped me: 1. HP Fortune Cookie Tutorial 2.Origami Fortune Cookies from The Pretty Blog, both come with free templates you can use!!
I’ve been making a few things over the festive season and I thought id share them with you . The first thing I made was this cute origami gift box. These small gift boxes are great for jewellery and they are so simple to make. I’ve included a tutorial incase you want to try it yourself.
Tip: I would make the base of the box with thicker paper or card for more support.
